I think we can all agree that it’s been a tough and trying year. I can’t believe 2020 is halfway gone and July 4th weekend is upon us. I remember news years eve like I recalled yesterday. As a matter of fact, it feels like it was yesterday. I’m sure I’m echoing everyone, you know, but I’ll ahead and say it anyway. “What is going on?” I find myself asking that over and over and over. This first half of the year has honestly been confusing and devastating. I pray that the next six months make sense for all of us.
On a happier note, it’s a long weekend. A celebratory one at that, and in light of honoring America’s birthday, I have put together some casual yet cute outfits you can throw on for any parties or barbeques you might attend this weekend. All red, white, and blue off course!
1. Denim on denim
This denim on denim with white accents is one of my favorite looks. Are you guys into the denim on denim look?
2. Wear to work & play
Although most people are home during this time, I wanted to create a look that can quickly go from work to weekend. If you’ve been on this blog before, you know we are all about styling what we have in many different ways. This red button-down ticks all the boxes, and if you are local ( i live in Kansas City), it will work for Red Friday as well. Go Chiefs!
3. Cap it
I told you we’re all about high mileage clothing around here. I found a way to use the denim shirt in this white on white look. If there is ever a perfect time to wear a baseball hat, July 4th would be it.
You can check out the quick video I created showing these looks right here on my Instagram page.
Happy July 4th everyone, I know things look a little different this year, but we have to make the best of what in front of us.
